Mac address. How to get?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I was wondering if it is possible to get the MAC address of the current host (server) on which a database is hosted?

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Tom

Run Apple System Profiler.

You can get the ethernet address from "network"

Thanks Mark, but it isn't exactly what I was trying to do. Probably my description was not clear, sorry.

My problem is how to get the MAC address via FM script or a calculation field.

This function returns NIC (MAC) address of the local client which is currently running (but not hosting) a database.
