We have used a FileMaker - Applescript - PageSender solution for the last 2 years. Either all the fax-modems in Mac's are sub-par or PageSender still needs help. Yes, the scripting is nice, but the stability is not there - yet.

What kind of stability problems are you having?

FWIW: I'm a Mac guru, my G4 Mac stopped faxing after one of the Tiger updates and I cannot get it working (short of a clean install). My PowerBook is running the same latest Tiger and it works AOK...

Found an issue: If the modem is unchecked in the Network System Preference current setting, faxing has issues.
