January 23, 200124 yr Newbies I develop on my Mac and deploy on Windows NT in my office. I realised that the relationship file reference get lost after I moved the database on to the Windows NT from my Mac. Is that a way to prevent this without needing to select the related file again after the database is moved to a different platform? This is gets worse when I am working from remote and the only way for me to get my database to the Windows NT is via ftp. Then I will use the dbopen or dbclose CDML to open or close my database remotely. With this method I can never get the database running properly after I make modifications on my Mac. I will have to physically get to the location where the Windows NT machine is and manually reestablish the relationship. I am not allowed to use software like Timbuktu or the like. Please help!
January 23, 200124 yr Try sending the files as one bundled .zip file and unpacking them on the windows machine. Or better yet, hook them up using FM for windows and send them from Internet Explorer running under Windows. You can do this on the Mac using Virtual PC. VPC also helps you work on cross platform layout issues when developing on the Mac. -bd
