October 12, 200520 yr Newbies Hi There, I am very new here and also with FM. I have a problem with my FM-database, hope some one can help me. I have 2 tables which are related (company, product) In a (list) layout you see a company with al the product that must be delivered there in a portal. The transport to this particular company can be by feet, by car or by bike. The product has colors like green, blue and red. Now I have to leave green products out of the portal if the company has the options 'bike'. Like this: Company X – By Feet Product 1 - Blue Product 2 - Green Product 3 – Red Company Y – By Bike Product 1 - Blue [color:red]Product 2 – Green (this one must left out) Product 3 – Red How can I do this find search? (sorry for my english!) testEN.zip
October 12, 200520 yr Hi I've attached a file to show how I solved that problem in my own database. Only my database shows post codes and uses a check box field to show/hide them by country. It is also possible to add new post codes directly in the portal. I'm afraid I do not have time to explain how I created it, but mess around with it and you'll learn If not, I may have time later to explain. Enjoy. test.zip

October 13, 200520 yr Your name looks like a Dutch name? Goed man... I adjusted your file. It should now work for you. I added another relationship to your portal called "transport". I also added a field called transport in your product table. This relationship checks what values you added to your product. So when a company has transport method "bike" it will only show the products that match the transport method bike, leaving "green" for what it is... Good luck! Kip testEN.zip
October 13, 200520 yr Author Newbies And Dutch it is!! Unfortunately, it doesn’t work right. If you look at company 1, it looks like this Company 1 – Bike Product 3 – Blue Product 4 – Red This seems right, but if you change the transport to, for example, ‘Feet’, you get this Company 1 – Feet Product 1 – Green Product 4 – Red Product 5 – Green Product 6 – Green Where did product 3 go?! Do you know?! testEN2.zip
October 13, 200520 yr go to your products table and add "feet" as a second value in the field "transport" Edited October 13, 200520 yr by Guest
October 14, 200520 yr Author Newbies A product is not related to 'feet, car or bike', so it is strange that we have to edit a product. If you are in de list and you change feet or bike to car, nothing is shown? Any idea how I solve this?
October 14, 200520 yr A product is not related to 'feet, car or bike', so it is strange that we have to edit a product. If you are in de list and you change feet or bike to car, nothing is shown? Actually you do relate product with transport: Now I have to leave green products out of the portal if the company has the options 'bike'. You related non green products with transport method "bike"
