Is there any way to extract a file path from an external file, short of copy and paste? For instance, if I import a picture into a container, is there any way I can script that import so it will also fill in another field with the filename and path?

If you get the container field contents as text, you will see information about the image including the path.

Great, thanks! Unfortunately my whole original intent is no longer viable, but it's good to know for the future.
