AlanP Posted October 18, 2005 Posted October 18, 2005 Hi Everyone, In one of our new databases I *have* to use a timestamp in a portal instead of a date. For some reason I can't get it to sort correctly. For example if all the portal records are created on today's date, it will show the first record first instead of the most recent record. Is there a way to sort by timestamp showing the most recent entry (in the portal)? I've tried various ways via the relationship with no luck.
-Queue- Posted October 18, 2005 Posted October 18, 2005 How is the portal (not the relationship itself) set to sort?
AlanP Posted October 18, 2005 Author Posted October 18, 2005 sort ascending...same as via the relationship thanks!
-Queue- Posted October 18, 2005 Posted October 18, 2005 Then the first record in the portal will indeed be the oldest. Try sorting descending, so that the related record with the newest timestamp is displayed first.
AlanP Posted October 20, 2005 Author Posted October 20, 2005 Thanks that worked! I had the sort going on both the relationship and portal and guess that was the wrong thing to do!
