I am using Metaframe on NT4.0 with FileMaker Pro 4.0. I have published my app to open up .fp3 file. I can get FileMaker to open on Client workstations but I can't get them to open the same file???

More than one user cannot open a "file" at the same time.

You will need to do one of two things:

Either install a Filemaker Server (the best way) machine on the network and have you users access this to open the databases. FMP Server is a multi-user, multi-threaded database server application.

The other way is to simply dedicate a machine on the network and run a copy of Filemaker, then open the databases on this machine. Then the clients will treat this in a similiar manner to the FMP Server. However FMP Client is not multi-threaded and has serious performance issue as more users access it.

Running FMP Server is usually the way to go.

How many users will you have?
