kiwiora Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 Hi guys, I've got a runtime solution I'll be sending out to all the offices. The runtime solution allows the manager to manage accounts (i understand runtime is a single user system) My question is - Is there a way to produce a list of accounts and privilege sets so the manager can view who's on there, who's not etc. I know of get(useraccount) or get(privilegesetname) but I want to present ALL accounts/privilege sets on their runtime app. The work around I've thought of is as part of the script step to add /delete accounts etc, create/delete a record in a separate table and use that as a quasi account list? Any other ideas? Or is there something that will do this?
Steven H. Blackwell Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 The DDR reports the names of all Acounts and their attached Privilege Set. I describe this in FileMaker Security The Book. The applicability of this to a runtime is limited at best inasmuch as if the user has a runtime, he or she does not likely have FMP Advanced. However, the Admin person might have it, and if given proper access, the Admin person can generate the report. Steven
kiwiora Posted November 23, 2005 Author Posted November 23, 2005 Thanks for your help but please read my post - as stated, it's a runtime solution. Subsequently there is no DDR report nor admin access. Anyone?
Steven H. Blackwell Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 The DDR can still be run on the data files if they are opened with FIleMaker Pro Advanced. Steven
