Performance problems running Pro7 in Citrix Session

Featured Replies

Hello there,

We have Pro 7 installed on two Citrix servers (Win2k Server SP4, Metaframe XPa) and are experiencing a few performance problems when running in the users ICA sessions (ICA v9.00), (we also run Filemaker Server 8);)

Most noticable, when flicking between the records there is a considerible delay, especially when clicking on the Next or Back button more than once.

We have tested by loading the Pro7 software directly on the Citrix server (not in the ICA session) and it works fine!

Any ideas how to improve the performance on Citrix??

i have found the problem, seemed to be the background colour of the database.

it was green, when we removed it the performance improved drastically on citrix!

cheers

Did you remove the back ground color or change it's color? I use Citrix also to work at home.

Hi there,

We removed it so it was blank, made it much faster.

Have you experienced any other problems running it in Citrix? i.e. fonts getting messed up when typing & also kicking you out of Filemaker when sending a print job??

Was the backround colour an image pasted into the body part, or applied as a background fill?

I only allow clients to use XP pro, no other problems noticed.
