i using OS XP as my FM 7 server and using 512 RAM. i place 20 file in the root file. I have headache when one of my file which locate in the data/databases folder always closed by itself and have to reopen it almost everyday.

How many files have you told the Server to open? Look in the SAT Tool for that setting? Also, you're somewhat short on RAM.

The SAT Tool (Server Adminstration Tool) is where you administer the server. It's where you set the number of files that can open and the number of users that can connect. if these numbers are too low you'll have the type problems you are reporting.

The databases to be hosted should be placed in the Databases folder inside the FIleMaker Server folder as a general rule.
