CAN I...Records from current table and related table

Featured Replies

[color:red]Records from the ASA table are descriptions of required changes that our clients have given to us to change in each project.

[color:blue]Records from the OPI table are descriptions of changes that our project managers have found and would like to implement into the project

I am creating a layout in the ASA table and would like to also show records from the OPI table. I have tried creating a portal but I can not view it like I want to. I basically need to be able to see the ASA records in a LIST followed by the OPI records in a LIST.

When viewed as Form...I can see one ASA record and all OPI records via a portal.

When viewed as List...I can see all of the ASA records but no OPI records.

I also need to the user to be able to modify the records. If modified I need the modifications to display in a different color.

I need all of this to show up in Browse mode and when printed. Is this all wishful thinking on my part or is any of it possible?

I think you need to have two portals on the layout, one for the ASA and one for the OPI. Make sure the relationships for both portals limit your lists to the desired parameters. An easy way to show all records in a portal is to create a self-join relationship using the cross-product relationship.
