Global Search Possible?

Is it possible to do DB wide search? Like search all layouts, all fields and all tables at the same time for a particular word or name? I guess you might call it a Global search.

If it is possible, how would I go about doing such a search.

There is no built-in functionality for this type of search. You would need to build a search script that performs a find in each table.

The trouble you may find, is how to present the results. If each search is done in its own table, the results belong to those separate tables.
