I have a strange problem.

I have a indexed text field a table. I have made a layout that allows input into this field.

For some reason the character ' is being translated into ’ when entering data into the field.

Why does this happen and how can I stop this translation?

I can't tell what character you are using for your description. Is that a Smart Quote versa a Plain Quote? If so, turn off Smart Quote in [color:blue]File >> File Options >> Text >> Smart Quotes (Deselect)

That was exactly the problem..

The smart quotes change ' to ’
