i have a button that triggers a new window to open at a specified size and location...but when it opens it shrinks the origional window some....how can i keep the origional window full size and still have the second window show at the specified size and local

Instead of defining the sizes of windows with numerical values, try putting a layout objects (invisible box) on your layouts that are the sizes you want the windows to be and use "Adjust Window [Resize to Fit]". Even if your script somehow refers back to the original window, it doesn't matter since it will always Resize to Fit.
