I have FMServer 7 and fmpro 7. Everything has been working great until last week. Now, we can open our file Main.fp7, but for some reason, it will close itself and we have to reopen it.

I can work on the file using FMPro Developer 7 or FMPro Developer Advanced (8) for a day or so.

Today, however, the file was reopened and, an hour later, it was closed again.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Check to be sure that idle time disconnect isn't activated for the Account you are using.

I would if I could see the file. But it closes and no one can get to it without remotely access fm server and reopening the file.

What do the event logs say about the problem? Does it coincide with the backups?

Stop the FMS service. Open the file with FIleMaker Pro and see if the idle disconnect is selected. Alternatively check in the SAT Tool to see if the disconnect service is activated at all.
