fm 8 bug? second field display

I was just wondering if anyone else experienced this problem in 8.

When you use a field from a different table for the second field in a value list (even if the relationship works great), fm 8 gets hung up and crashes as soon as you go use the value list. This didn't seem to happen in 7. I am shying away from using a value list with values from more than one table . Instead, i create an indexable field in the main table to show instead. This seems like a step back. Anyone experience this quirky behavior?

Haven't head any complaints about this.

Can you recreate the problem in a brand new dummy file with test data? If so you've found a bug. If not, maybe something in the data is corrupt. Any unusually long strings in the second field? Any high or low ascii characters?
