michaelzap Posted August 12, 2001 Posted August 12, 2001 Hello - I'm designing a new donor database for a foundation. I'm starting with the following related DBs: Donors, Donations, and Campaigns. I want to add a Correspondence DB that tracks tax letters, postcards, and catalogs sent out to donors. So I created a Correspondence DB and a DCJoin DB that is the join database for the many-to-many relationship between Donors and Correspondence (many donors receiving many letters...). I have portals in both the Donors and Correspondence DBs so I can see the letters sent out to each donor or the donors to whom each letter was sent... Whew! What I'd ideally like to do is to automatically add data to the DCJoin DB when a letter (report) is generated and printed in FM. I imagine scripting the MailMerge and Print routine and then having a "Do you want to record this letter in the Correspondence database?" pop-up. If the user says "yep", I'd like to create the appropriate records in the DCJoin DB automatically. So now the obvious question: How do I do it? Thanks in advance for your replies.
