I am trying to import an access file (I exported the access database to excel)

When I'm almost done importing it says Filemaker has generated errors and must shut down

Any suggestions

Sounds like the Excel file may be corrupt. Can you open the file in Excel? If so, does it appear that the data is correct?

I can open it in excel and the data appears to be correct

Your file has to be a Work Sheet, not a Work Book. Also, I found using an older file format in Excel to save it in works best.

I was having a similar issue in version 6 but I think it had more to do with the size of the excel file so what I did was just save the excel file as a tab seperated text file. It worked great.
