Get rid of duplicates

Ok, now that I have found thousand of different duplicates, is there a way get rid all but the latest record for each duplicate. For example:

7855

6854

6854

3397

3397

3397

etc....

In this example I would like to delete all EXCEPT for the last 7855, the last 6854, and the last 3397. Is there an easy way to do this?

if you do a search for remove duplicate, delete duplicate, find duplicate etc...

you will come across many many posting on how to do this.
