Hi all,

Is there a way that you can save a tab when switching layouts? Let me explain.

I can script going to a specific tab using go to field. But if the user goes to another layout using the drop down menu and then goes back to the tab layout, the tab changes. I know I can script this, but unless I hide the status area and force layout changes to be made by script, I don't know how to accomplish this.

any Ideas?

Thanks in Advance

Not so quickly ... to browse mode !

Before you have to go to Layouts--Set Tab Order... and press OK or, when in layout mode, choose-select the TAB (darker surround).

The TAB you see will become the default TAB ! :

I think I didn't understand what you are meaning =)

in Filemaker 8 we now have two kind of Tabs.

The normal Tabs I am switching with the tabulator-key to get from one field to the next.

And then we have the new Layout-component TABs.

My question is: if there exits three Tabs in my layout, how do always get to the same Tab if I am switchen to another layout and then back?
