Fitch Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 It's true that you define the default tab for a given layout by choosing that tab in layout mode. That's an important technique/FileMaker behavior to know. It's also possible to script the desired tab, by putting a field on each tab and using the "Go to field" command. A convenient method is to use a global repeating field; put a different repetition on each tab (i.e. rep 1 on tab 1, rep 2 on tab 2 etc.) and then in your script, go to the rep that corresponds to the tab. Follow this with a Go to field(empty or some other field) so the user doesn't see your plumbing.
