Which Tab when Go To Layout [original layout]?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have several tabs (1 grouping) on a layout. All contain portals. I have a button on each tab body (outside the portal) that triggers a script that goes to the layout based on the related TO. Once there it performs some steps and when it's finished performing those steps the script says Go To Layout[original layout]. This is where my question comes in...

Why does the Go To Layout [ ] step show a tab other than the one I was viewing sometimes but not all the time? I haven't noticed a logical pattern. What am I missing?

Thanks in advance!

the logical pattern is:

the TAB showed is the default TAB choosed (by you) for that layout.

I didn't realize you could set the default tab. This is apparently what I did by accident when I set the tab order on my layout and I hadn't realized it.

Nice going, Daniele! :

I am confused on this one... How do I make the default Tab be the first one?

I tried to set it up using Tab Order in Layout, but cannot do that. I want the first Tab with its contents to display whenever someone goes to that layout.

Hi Jscott

in layout mode click on the first TAB until you'll see a black border in the first TAB...and go back to browse mode.

Thanks Ray... I knew it had to be something simple!

too bad you can only go to a specific TAB when you have a field tab-number and go to that specific field, assuming it is in that TAB :)

It would be much easier to jump directly to lets say Layoutname:TABname

Well we keep wishing things :)

regards

Rob
