Okay, I'm still fairly new to Filemaker, and I can't seem to get around this annoying behavior in my layouts. Whenever a user clicks into any field to enter data, every single field on the layout becomes "highlighted."

I put the term in quotes because it's not *exactly* highlighted, but the little dotted lines appear around all the fields. This doesn't interfere with the functionality of the db, but it annoys the heck out of me. Anybody know how to prevent this?

In Layout mode, go up to Layouts, Layout Setup..., and uncheck "Show field frames when record is active." A side effect is that portals will no longer "pop" back to the 1st row when you click outside.
