Pre selecting first value in value list

Is there a way to have the first value in a value list automaticaly choosen? Without actualy clicking on it....

Just put what you want entered in the Auto Enter option of the field definition.

The problem with that is my value list is based on a field in another table. The relationship changes depending on another selection in another field. So you see, I can't hard code just one default selection for all. So if I could get it to choose the first value in the value list. You see, most of the time the value list will only be one value long. So I would like to be able to not have to have the user enter anything if it is. I want it to auto enter the only value.

Does that make sense.

Use an Auto-Enter Lookup or Auto-Enter Calculation to pull the related value.

The lookup worked great! Thank you. I couldn't do a calculation because I needed to be able to change the field if I wanted. Calculation, as far as I can tell, are not modifiable. The lookup was just what the doctor ordered! Thank you so much.
