I am interested in using FileMaker to develop manuscript for a project that will be be both online and print. I want to be able to locally format text fields with italics and boldface in FileMaker, and then be able to export the text coded--either XML, HTML, or XPress tags--so that the local formatting is retained. I know that this was not possible as of FM version 5, but I'm wondering if that has changed in v7 or v8. Is there a function that allows FM to recognize italicized text in a text field so that I can add "" and "" around it in calculation field? Or is there a third-party add-on? Thanks in advance for any tips.
