Does anyone know if there is a way to have a file shared as one name, but have a different filesystem name? Kind of like with Windows shares where you can share a directory as some name other than the directory's actual name?

For example, if I have a FM file named "customers.fp7", is there a way to share it with FileMaker Server so that it shows up as "Customer Tracking" when a client opens it remotely?

Nope. Sounds like you want to avoid user confusion. Why not do the opening fully scripted so they never have to see the list of hosted files?
