Scott Pon Posted January 14, 2006 Posted January 14, 2006 Is there anyway to prevent filemaker from creating new records with keyboard shortcut "Control N"??? People are unknowningly creating of blank records in our database. (they usually have a button to make new records) Using FM 5.0 in a windows environment (98, 2k, xp) Thanks in advance.
Ender Posted January 14, 2006 Posted January 14, 2006 In the password definition, change menu access to "Editing Only" or "None."
mf Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 I don't know if there is a way to disable keyboard shortcuts, but you could make a rule that would prevent saving blank records (validate your key fields with "not empty"/"required value")
