How can I sort by word length.

Example:

I haven't used FM since 1990 so I am rusty!

Hi

make a new calculation field (WordLength) and calc:

Length(item)

and then sort by it !

P.S.: if you wish an alphabetical order too, sort by it and by items

Yea, Daniele had the same idea that I did. The only thing that I can add to this is to make sure the calculation result is in a number format, and not a text.
