Copy data from one field to another

How do I copy data from one field to another field within the same file?

Assuming that you mean by script the script step would be

Set Field(thename of the field that you want to populate;thename of the field that you want to copy)

make sure the field is in the table though... and not in a foreign table or it wont work.. unless the field is a global
