Best Way to Import Huge Excel File

Featured Replies

Hello,

I have a huge excel file - 400 rows, 168 colums. It is a medical spreadsheet, and each row represents a patient.

I need to make each row an individual record in FMP. Transferring information one row at a time would take forever!

Do you know the best way to import this Excel file into FMP?

Thanks!!

Alisun:

You can open the excel file directly from FileMaker. If the top row of your spreadsheet contains column definitions, you can even use those definitions for your FileMaker table.

You can also import from Excel into FileMaker, if you've already created a table with all the appropriate fields.
