Hello-

I'm a relatively new user to File Maker Pro 4.1, but i am trying to set up a database for a specific project and i'm having a hard time getting the information i want from the users manual. Here goes...

I have three independent databases, One with general info (name, address, etc.), one with information about a specific disease, and a last one with information about a different disease. I have placed a unique ID field in each of the databases and want to be able to relate all of them to eachother. In other words, when i bring up a person's general information (name, address, etc.), I want to be able to see the information in the disease specific database that relates to their unique ID. Is this possible? Am I completely screwy? Any suggestions would help. Thanks in advance.

Fritz.

Hello Fritz,

Hard to explain the complete process but yes its possible. Basically you need to define the relationship then display the fields in a portal using that relatioship. I have done the three databases and I'll email them to you. Any problems reply to the email

Hope this helps

Paul
