I've attached a sample of a standard portal.

Our users edit the text from within the portals, and as they select each row, they 'see' less text each time.

The fourth row of this portal only shows one line of text, rather than all three lines as with the first row in the portal.

Is there any way around this ?

Show the portal scroll bar?

What happens here is that the field expands downwards to show the full text - but is being cut off by the portal boundaries. Either make the portal taller, or provide a button to go to related record for editing in detail.

I'd like to see the behaviour be as the drop down lists, where if there is not enough room, the window pops 'up' rather than down . . .

I do have the option of a GTRR for the portal records, and I might even look at making the portal the method of selecting the related record, and then have the required field below the portal for editing.
