How do I add headlines to a portal?

When I add a portal to a layout, the field names appear in the record field. There has got to be a way to place them in headlines but I am too clumsy to figure it out.

Just type them in above the portal with your text tool.

Will the field names still display in each field or will the headlines substitute? Is there anything that I will have to do to identify the text as headline?
