One rather simple question that I don't seem able to resolve: Can FileMaker 5 do simple left joins, in the classic RDBMS sense? I can work out how to produce a left join-like effect, but not how to directly construct them.

Appreciate any help.

Filemaker does not work in the same way as a classic RDBMS. You do not really setup "joins". In Filemaker you setup relationships, all of which are technically "One to Many".

What are you actually trying to accomplish? If I knew I could probably be of more direct help.
