I have a short wav file in a container field that plays when the user clicks a button. However when I run it in Kiosk mode the should never plays.

It also doesn't seem to play when NOT in kiosk mode on Mac systems. The Mac I tested it on is running OSx 10.4.3 and using FM Pro 8v2. The PC is running FM Advanced 8v2.

I have a VB program to work around it but that only works on the PC and it's slower than playing the sound from the container field. Does anyone know how to play sounds in Kiosk mode?

How about using a Quicktime file on the mac? You can test for platform in the button script and switch to the other file. QT comes installed on the mac :

Wav files can be problematic on the mac, not the least because they can carry code/viri.
