Creating relationship troubleshoot

I am having difficulty creating relationships. have defined the relationship to the master file on the unique record number. However I am unable to see all of my records. I do a find but my records do not appear. I think I need to create a portal, but I am lost. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks,

Phil

You need a portal if you want to see the related records when you're on a parent record.

Otherwise from the parent record, you can script a "go to related records (show related only)" to produce a found set in the related table.

Can you post a screenshot of relationship definition?

You defined the relationship to be primary key in your parent table to foreign / related key in your child table? Are you sure your child table has corresponding foreign keys?

Thanks....I would paste a screen shot of the definition, but can't get the print screen to function.

The way I set it up was to open the file I wanted to reate the realionship. Linked it to my Master/parent file -- and used a field in my parent that has unique values (record number). I have tried to make sure that both fields in the parent and the child files are exactly the same.

Still having problems though.

I think I know how to set up a portal. Running a script is a little beyond me at the moment.

Any further help will be greatly appreciated.
