Summary on Value Lists?

Featured Replies

I'm not an expert, but have been using FM Pro for several years. I have a value list called Media, and within that the values are for ex., Chemical Engineering, Design News, etc. Would like to show a summary of how many records of each media, i.e., 12 Design News, 14 Chemical Engineering, etc. Any easy way to do this? Am familiar with how to do on straight fields (non-value lists), but not within value lists. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Jan

Create a report with a subsummary part by Media, create a summary field defined as "Count of" some field (doesn't matter which, just not a global field!), place the summary field in the subsummary part, and sort by Media. The summary count will only show up in preview mode or when you print the report. -bd
