Default Text Color, Style, etc...

Featured Replies

Sorry for such a stupid question, but...

I can't get my default text color, style, size, etc to stay at want I want.

I want the text to be a certain font, 12, Plain, Black, etc every time I drag a field from the tool bar or click the text button.

I haven't been able to locate the answer to this in the Forums. I have done what I found in the FM Help, and it works for that session, but it switches back to Red, Bold, etc when I quit and come back to the app.

I know the answer is simple, but I can't seem to locate it!

It's an obscure feature. :wink2:

Make sure you have NOTHING selected, then set all your default properties (font, style, etc.) by selecting each one. Then, the next time you use them the defaults will be used.

Thanks - but that's what's in HELP and it doesn't work, unless I am doing something wrong.

Using those steps, I set the font to Verdana|12|Black and it stays that way until I change it - even if I quit the app and come back.

However - if I do those steps, then during my session change to Arial|10|Red and use that for a moment, then quit - that's where it's set when I return to the app later.

Is there any way to make my default at startup always the same - not the last settings I happened to have used?
