Hi,

I am having a strange problem with the Server Advanced 8v2 on Mac tower. My main file never passes the consistency check. I have to turn the consistency check off to get it to start up. The log just says that the check failed. I performed a recover on the file and got the same thing. If I put a clone of the file with no data in it, it starts fine. It therefore something about the data itself that is causing it to fail. It is a large file of about 4.5 Gigabytes.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Try Save a Copy as (compacted file, smaller)

I had exactly the same problem and this fixed it.

Thanks flook! That did the trick. Its strange that the compression portion of file maintenance did not do the same thing, but I am not looking a gift horse in the mouth, this has been plaguing me for weeks.
