Oldfogey Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 I have a 1-row portal on a green tab control. When I click anywhere in it, outside the actual fields, the whole portal goes a disgusting purple. Any ideas on how to stop this?
Genx Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 ...No, god know's why, but filemaker loves color inversion. Hehe, change it to your disgusting purple and then when you select it, it will be pretty green :. ~ Genx
LaRetta Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 Hi Paul, Another thing you can try which might help ... Place a transparent rectangle behind your fields - fill your portal row with it. Attach button with simple: Go To Field [ main field in portal ]. At least in this way the color inversion flash is instant and then it turns green again as it places the cursor into an actual field. Not ideal but it works ... and Users won't be sitting there looking at the purple. You can also adjust that green color so the inverse is prettier. LaRetta :wink2:
Oldfogey Posted March 16, 2006 Author Posted March 16, 2006 Thanks, LaRetta. I had forgotten all about this until my conversion to V8. Maybe the colours are worse now. Anyway, it is no longer a problem as the customer has never complained! His people must be well-behaved and only click inside fields.
