March 13, 200619 yr Newbies How do I export multiple records that include Container field attachments/contents to Excel? I need to export multiple records to Excel and one of the fields is a Container Field. When exporting, Excel only captures the name of the file (either .doc or .html) and not the contents. I'm able to export each Container Field individually, but that would be VERY time consuming and not practicle on a weekly basis. Any and all help is GREATLY appreciated! :smile2:
March 14, 200619 yr Author Newbies hmmm...not sure what you mean by "binary data" and "how do you see this?". I think I'm just going to have to copy and paste all the data (in this case, a resume) and change the field from Container to Text.
March 14, 200619 yr "binary data" is loosely everything that is not text. Like a picture, or an executable, or a PDF. You can insert pictures into an Excel sheet but you can't import them. They don't go into a worksheet cell. What do you have in the container and how do you want it in Excel?
