I have constructed a database for contact with a sub file for order processing.. I would like to show a summary of orders placed for each contact (mulitple orders on mulitple dates/contact) but I am having trouble with that function. Can anyone lead me in the correct direction? I am presuming that I want to see a list in the output(on Screen)

Two answers: If you want to display on the screen the orders for a give contact, use a relationship based upon Contact ID (a field you create) and a portal. If you want to print a report of the orders by contact, use a report layout in the Orders file with a subsummary by Contact Name or ID. -bd
