Newbies DHBob Posted March 17, 2006 Newbies Posted March 17, 2006 I have had FM Server 7 running on Server 2003 SP1 for many months without problem. Now suddenly two mornings in a row, the fmserver service has shut down. The event log contains: Source: Application Error Event ID:1000 Faulting application fmserver.exe, version 7.0.2.214, faulting module ntdll.dll, version 5.2.3790.1830, fault address 0x000396d0. Google and MS Technet searches didn't turn up much. Anyone seen this and found a cause?
Ted S Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 DHBob, I'm not trying to be a wise guy here but have you tried rebooting the server? Personally I think it's healthy to give Windows servers fresh boot every week or two.
Newbies DHBob Posted March 17, 2006 Author Newbies Posted March 17, 2006 I agree, usually don't have time though (managing about 250 servers) unless they are causing problems. Anyway, I did reboot after the first time and the service shutdown the next morning.
