iNcR3d1bl3
Hi! For some reason I can't seem to be able to enter text into edit boxes that I placed on a layout. I get a message saying "Before typing, press Tab or click in a field, or choose the New Record menu command." I created a new record and nothing, I know this is probably something very small that I am over looking, but I could use some help. thanks
LaRetta
It's not wanting new record - that produces a different message. The message you are getting is indicating that the field can't be entered. Check the field behavior: Right-click field > Field Control > Behavior and make sure 'In Browse Mode' is checked. :wink2:

LaRetta
Strange. Is this Form, List or table view? Can you post a .jpg or your file?
iNcR3d1bl3
here's the file thanks for your help ***btw it's the "student login" layout clm.zip Edited April 3, 2006 by Guest
LaRetta
You have your related Student fields on your Login layout - but you don't have 'Allow Creation' turned on in your relationship. But I wouldn't think you would want to create a Student when they login. Change that StudentID and SUBJECT to your LOGIN fields instead. :wink2:
