K1200 Posted April 9, 2006 Share Posted April 9, 2006 I'm trying to construct a very simple summation-type report -- summing a designated account for a range of dates. I haven't found an example anywhere simple enough to get me past where I am. The ones I've downloaded haven't shed any light on what is obviously (to most) a fairly basic operation. I've attached my 2-table, 1-script example, but if anyone knows of an existing simple one, please let me know. Otherwise, I will certainly appreciate a little guidance. Thanks. LaRetta Posted April 9, 2006 Share Posted April 9, 2006 I'm still a bit unclear but see if this is moving you in the right direction. You can't store globals in Find Requests. I recall trying Items::StartDate...Items::EndDate at one point, but when FMP wouldn't accept it, I went over to trying to specify them inside the Find request -- which got me off track. Now I'm back on track. I also cleaned up my sample file a bit so that it might be of help to others starting out. Thanks very much for your help.
