FMSA admin console won't open

Hi,

We have a Windows Server 2003 hosting school web sites and FMS 8 installed. I tried to install FMSA following the steps, but can't access the admin console (http://localhost/fmi/config). How can I customize IIS to allow access both admin console and school web sites?

Does anyone have the solution?

Thanks.

Sounds like you had existing web sites on IIS before you installed FMSA, right? FMSA only works with the default web site so if the default one is not there anymore you can get this these kind of problems.

Not sure what the best solution is but the one time I got this I removed all websites and reinstalled IIS so that I got a virgin default website, installed FMSA8 and then reinstalled the other websites.

By default, window will attempt to authenticate all request that are made via the IIS web server.

The simplest approach for making IIS work with the WPE is to disable IIS authentication.

In IIS "Directory security". click "edit" for Authentication methods, do the following:

1) ensure that "Anonymous Access" is enabled.

2) Disable all of the authentication methods under "Authentication access".

I'm having this problem too -- I can't access the administration console, and we did disable IIS authentication.

Any other possibilities?
