Hi guys this is my first post i hope i have done it in the right place. I have a database for a real estate company in spain which relates to the houses that are for sale. This i have built up myself. What i want to be able to make filemaker do automaticaly is when a Corredor is selected filemaker will look to a seperate table with the Corredors in and collect their letter identifier and then increase the number next to the letter by 1. Thus creating the next correct identifier for the house, this cannot be changed now it must be a letter that relates to the correct Corredor and the next number for the property. I hope this maker sense! Does anyone know how i might do this, i have been trying to get the correct relationships and setups to do this for a while and it just wont get the correct letter from the database that it is meant to. Any help much would be much appreciated!

The file maker file type isnt accepted as an ok file type to upload will i need to zip it?

Change your Relationship to:

[color:blue]Corredor [color:red]= [color:blue]Corredor Name

Change your calculation in Ref to:

[color:blue]Corredor::Letter Identifier
