Intel iMac and FM, a problem?

I have a 7 client LAN running FM5.5 and the clients are FM6. All the machines are OSX Tiger 10.4.4 or higher and 1 is an intel iMac running 10.4.6 The Intel iMac has been getting disconnected from the server for no apparent reason and I'm wondering if there is a compatability problem. Anyone have any ideas?

It seems to be happening 2 or 3 times a day. Sometimes in the same 15 minute time span.

Hard wired or wireless? Either way, it might be the network card.

Is the iMac using enrgy saver preferences?

If it's set to go to sleep then all network connections will be lost.

I have FM5/5.5 and 6 clients with 5.5 server and ALL operating systems (98, XP, OS9 - 10.4.6) - no problems.

help! Ive got FMP 5 and a new intel macbook running tiger. it wont even open , all of my databases are in FMP

Is there anything i can do?

Since the Intel macs can't run Classic, FM5 and below won't work. You'll need to upgrade to a newer version of FileMaker.
