NotPro Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 Hi, I recently bought an iMac, and having created a runtime application on the Mac, the Get Info tells me that the runtime application is PowerPC. I am just wondering can such runtime application run on Intel-Mac? Or just PowerPC? Thanks for whatever feedback. NotPro
Fenton Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 Yes, it will run in "Rosetta", which is PowerPC emulation; just like FileMaker itself. It runs well, pretty fast, but not fast enough -| FileMaker will eventually release a Universal Binary version, which will run at native speed (real fast :-). I would imagine that runtimes that version produces will also be UB?
NotPro Posted May 5, 2006 Author Posted May 5, 2006 Thanks. Any idea when FileMaker is going to release UB version? NotPro
