Hi everyone,

Question from a FM Newbie... Is there a simple way (or any way) to have a pop-up window that, when you select an item from its list, will load a piece of data in another field.

As an example, my pop-up's value list reads:

Hat

Shoe

Sock

If you select "Hat," say, a second field is populated by a number, like 3 (relating to the price of the hat perhaps).

I'd appreciate any advice! Thank you much!

It is called either a Lookup (if it is a non-calculated data element pulled from a record in another file) or an Auto-entered Calculation (if is any kind of calculated data).

Check the field options in the Define Fields for all the various options. The help file will describe each of the options in detail.
